Ken Li
President

Apex is a community (or dare I say family) that prides itself on the relationships formed between athletes. The medals and championships are secondary to the connections that have been formed within our organization. People have met lifelong friends and even life partners as members of our club. Bonds extend to the coaching staff, which is made up mostly of proud alumni wanting to share their experiences and expertise with the next generation of Apex athletes.

Aaron Lock

Apex was founded in 2005 by people who were actively involved in the sport as athletes and coaches for years before that. We have members who are involved in all areas of volleyball from coaching, refereeing, and governance. Much of our staff have been with the club for several years.

Chanh Vuong

We see Apex as more than a volleyball club. We aim to build individuals that excel under stress, are valuable members of a fun and successful team, and are leaders on and off the court. That said, Apex has always connected members of the community together and it’s always been a goal that these relationships strengthen and last beyond ‘high school sport’. Apex is like our second family, and we are proud of the connections we build here.

Alex Pappas

Apex is a place where people can get together to share in volleyball. Apex has a laid-back atmosphere that cares more about the kids and coaches than anything else. When you look at rec leagues or rec tournaments, the majority of the participants are people who were involved with Apex in one way or another. I have not seen a club in BC that has more of their athletes playing when they are finished with club volleyball than Apex has. That says a lot about how much Apex athletes love volleyball and how much Apex helps grow that love.
