Tryout Registration Information

Cost to tryout (fees are non-refundable): $40

Registration closes 72 hours to the first tryout date; e.g. if the tryout is on a Saturday at 2:00PM, registration closes on Wednesday at 2:00PM).

Please note, we will not be accepting walk-ins.

If you are trying out for multiple age groups (e.g. a 15U team and a 16U team), you will be required to complete a registration form for each age group you wish to try out for, and pay two separate tryout fees.

It is in your best interest to attend all the tryout date(s) listed for your desired age group, so that our selection committee can complete a full evaluation of your skillset. We are unable to accommodate athletes for a time outside of the scheduled tryouts for their age group.

12U-14U Girls: If you are unable to attend 1 of the 2 scheduled tryouts, you are still required to select and register a Day 1 and Day 2 timeslot. In the “additional info” field, please indicate for us which day (if either) you’re unable to attend.

We do not offer make-up tryouts or refund for missed tryouts.

Please arrive at least 15 minutes earlier prior to the tryout time to allow for check-in.

  • 12U: Jan. 1, 2015 – Dec. 31, 2015
  • 13U: Jan. 1, 2014 – Dec. 31, 2014
  • 14U: Sept. 1, 2012 – Dec. 31, 2013
  • 15U: Sept. 1, 2011 – Dec. 31, 2012
  • 16U: Sept. 1, 2010 – Dec. 31, 2011
  • 17U: Sept. 1, 2009 – Dec. 31, 2010
  • 18U: Sept. 1, 2008 – Dec. 31, 2009

*Athletes with late birth months (Sept/Oct/Nov/Dec) can register and compete in the age category down from 14U to 18U. 

ie: Athlete born Oct. 2010 qualifies for 16U and 17U age classes.

*Please note that a 12U boys team will depend on numbers. We reserve the right to amalgamate the 12U registrants with the 13U registrants and may decide to offer a 2nd 13U boys team instead of a 12U boys team. (There are no 12U boys competitions with Volleyball BC. Boys competitions start at 13U)
